Unlike short hair you can have a lot of different styles. So if one does not want to cut their hair but yet want something different every so often, then read on.
There so many ways to make your hair in a do without taking a lot of time. You can roll it, braid it, tease it, knotted it, pin it, loop it, and ponytail it. With that being said you can do all that in one style if you like. Braids are back and there are a lot different then before. They are not the tight to your head braids. They can be loose and flowy or be more then three strands. You can braid hair by rolling it or knotting it. You can even braid loosely and pin it up for an elegant style. Long hair can have many different styles. You don't have to have the plain straight layers.
In fact long hair can even look short then it really is. You can pin hair under to have a shorter look. You can even pull all the hair back and leave the top teased to have a shorter look, if you have shorter layers on top. There a lot more styles for long hair then what people think.

Keeping up appearances!
Do you feel like someone is watching you when you are a having a bad hair day? Then realize that you are just looking in a mirror. When having a bad hair day, we feel crappy. The fact is we are so much harder on ourselves to have that perfect hair look. Most people don't care what others look like unless they have to compare themselves to you. You know those people that have to keep up appearances because they are the ones are paranoid. Only because they want to be noticed or be approved by others. But we shouldn't feel bad having a bad hair day, it only makes us more human.
So it's okay to have bad hair ever so often, only because there are days we like to just relax and not worry about a thing. And there are days we need to look a little better then when we wake up. But it doesn't have to take hours and hours. If fact keeping it simple can be very cute and gorgeous. There are so many ways to look like it took hours and it only takes minutes.
There are so many ways to do your long hair in minutes. For examples if hair is long enough to braid back, braid the hair and make it loose a little like the picture down below.
Then pin the tail under the band like the picture below,
Take your hand, put it in the middle and hold hair lightly while you pin down the sides with bobby pins
Finally adjust your hair to your liken and now you are ready to go any where.( finish product is down below)
Now you can do a little bit more by weaving in ribbon with a yarn needle like the picture below.
Now for short hair you can put in headbands or fancy bobby pin for a quick style, look below.
So having bad hair day can be fix without the fuss.
And THERE YOU HAVE IT!

Color Me Timber!
People has colored since, well since they found a way to color hair. In fact most of our beauty tips for hair and skin can date back to the Egyptian's time. Most of us hate our natural hair color, so then we color the hair. Not everyone color but I bet 95% of women don't know their true hair color. You probably asking yourself now "What is my true hair color?" Like most, we say "oh yeah the dull, mousey looking hair was my natural". Even if you had black hair, blonde hair, red hair, or even purple hair, the answer is always the dull mousey color. Because we always want something we can't have. The perfect hair color!
We look at pictures in magazines or seen our favorite actress on TV and want something we can't have. Or can we? To some extends, we can get the perfect hair color. You just have do research. Where to go,what color works with you and how much it cost. Plus you have to realize the sometimes you need to ask a lot of questions how to get the perfect color.
When you have a hairstylist doing your hair you need to ask question. First question should be, would this color work in my hair? Second What is the upkeep? Third questions Will it damage my hair? Now hair color will have some form of damage to the hair, it is a chemical. But if you buy good shampoo and conditioners your hair can be in good shape. Plus if you color every week you are only destroying the hair. You really shouldn't color less then three weeks anyway. In fact you have less damage by only doing roots instead of the whole thing. And some times it can be cheaper just having your roots done by a hairstylist. Ask how much it would cost you came in every three to four weeks. You be surprised how much it really cost. It might be cheaper then you think.
Doing your own hair color can be tricky unless you have a degree in hair color. You have to understand the dynamic of color. Some people are lucky to get the same color each time. I have been doing hair over 15 years and have learn that it take a simple mistake in color for someone to come in to have me correct their hair color. And it's not cheap to correct unwanted hair color.
Now over the years I have learn how to correct hair color without damaging the hair too much or have to strip all color and redo it. It all depends what happen to their hair. When doing your own hair color, make sure you have some one that would be totally honesty with your hair color. I have seen some really bad color, where I thought were they drunk when did their hair or got wood stain from lumber store. So try to find a honesty person tell you what your hair really look like.
All color company has their own formula and with that being said you have to realized that some of formula are not created equally. There are some color that will not color grays or some will be hard to strip out when you get the wrong color or some color will have a cheap chemical that would damage a lot more that meets the naked eye. You have to be very careful with some of the colors, you can lose your hair. So do your research on any hair color that you are putting on your hair. If you are to scared to do your own color then go to the professionals.
Most of the professional hairstylist have some experience to know what to do and not to do. Plus if a professional hairstylist had screws up on a hair color, they should be able to correct their mistakes. Of course if every time you go there and they keep screwing up, you might have to go some where else. Now if something like your grey didn't cover, tell the hairstylist so they know to fix the problem. The key is communication to the hairstylist. WE ARE NOT MIND READERS. You need to speak up and if that hairstylist doesn't listen, then it's time to look for a new one.
One last thing, don't say you can't afford color when you bought $300 jeans or drive up in a BMW. People will spend on things that they really don't need. Hairstylist has to pay their bills too. I know what you thinking, but really can't afford a professional to do my hair. First you have to ask do I need my hair color? Who would be good at a decent price? Or can I really do it myself without screwing up? Or the last option Can I really afford highlight? Some highlights can be a ten to twelve weeks upkeep which can be cheaper option. Then again you can color or highlight once in while and grow out it, then call it a ombre. Just joking there are a lot more step in an ombre color.
This just something think about for coloring your hair. Some people love their natural or being grey, but your one to color your hair this should help you. So there you have it!

To updo or not to updo
Now every once awhile, everyone has a bad hair day, even a super model has those bad hair days, And of course we think its the end of the world when it happens. If we could only wake up and have our hair look fabulous! But if you are like me and you sleep like you just wrestled an alligator, then your hair takes a beating. You can't go anywhere because your hair has it's own zip code. Standing on ends, looking like you ran into a thunder storm and got struck by lightning. So what to do? Good question, what I have done in the past ( and my hair has been long to short, short to long) is Updo's. I know what you are thinking but I'm not going to prom or in a wedding. Well today hair is different from the past. Anything goes.
Updo in short hair can be tricky especially when its less then 4 inches all way round. Which actually the spike look has been popular for that ,so when you wake up your hair is all ready done. Or at less when my hair was less then 4 inches long, I woke up and just hairspray my hair. You could wear a bandanas to keep your hair down. But with short hair, most people wake up and wash it because it take less then 15 minutes to dry and style.
Now for long hair, which is more than 6 inches long all over, can be wild after a night of passion, right? Or wrestling an alligator in your sleep can give you a crazy look in the morning, too. So if you are in a hurry in the morning and don't have the time to do your hair, you can easily braid or sock curl your hair the night before. One less step to mess with hair in the morning. Let's face it, long hair can take up to an hour to get ready. There so many ways to do your hair up and make it look cute with less time that you think.
Now there are those days that you will take a shower in the morning then have very wet hair that would take a long time to dry. So here's some tips to do : use drying products to cut down on drying, eat breakfast or put on makeup after a shower so hair can air dry then blow dry, I have used paper towel after I towel dry to take more wetness out to cut down drying time, or even used a shower cap to keep hair dry then use a dry shampoo to give me control and volume for that great up do.
So having a good hair day is possible every day, unless you got caught in the rain without an umbrella. Down below is a video for some great hair styles ideas for the day.
